Long Bay is thrilled to announce the appointment of Patrick Hoffmann as the new General Manager. With over 25 years of international hospitality experience, Patrick brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role, having made significant contributions to renowned companies such as Six Senses, Regent Hotels and Resorts, and Kempinski.

Having spent the past five years in the Maldives, most recently at Six Senses Laamu, Patrick is particularly excited to embark on this new chapter in the Caribbean. He eagerly anticipates working with a vibrant and dynamic team to rejuvenate Long Bay under its new ownership, showcasing its true splendor. Our focus will be on embracing the Gypset lifestyle, appealing to carefree spirits and creative souls who appreciate the values of freedom, adventure, unconventional living, and exceptional design.

As Patrick arrives in Tortola, he brings with him a breath of fresh air that will invigorate Long Bay and its dedicated hosts. He firmly believes that a General Manager’s true worth lies in their ability to inspire, motivate, and empower their team. Captivated by the significance of community engagement, Patrick will actively seek to become part of the local fabric, understanding that it is paramount to our success. Moreover, his profound commitment to sustainability will drive him to explore innovative methods of preserving the beauty of Long Bay, Tortola, and its surrounding waters, all while curating unparalleled experiences for our esteemed guests.

Hailing from Germany, Patrick initiated his international career in Switzerland and Slovenia before immersing himself in the hospitality industry across Vietnam, Thailand, China, and the Maldives. This diverse background has shaped his global perspective and instilled in him a deep appreciation for cultural richness.

Patrick enjoys diving, photography, and listening to music in his free time. One of his dreams is to go diving in Palau, visit Bhutan and Patagonia, go on a Safari in Africa, and see Antarctica.
